If they said they knew the truth....

Well, it sounds like the Banquet Captain went off on the managers today. I knew this was coming and it was just a countdown til it were to finally happen. He has been screwed over more than anyone I can think of and he has only been in the department for about a earth coming this Easter.

I went to the former Assistant Manager's place last night, joke around and meant to the new person who was asked to move in temporarily. This person showed me some of his drawings, but this was after the Assistant Manager mentioned something about I think it was a artist who last name was "Dali" or something like that. His paintings that were in a psych book were from the 1930's, but if they were from the 70's or 80's the guy would have been said to be hitting acid and listening to too much Pink Floyd. It was some fucked up shit, and to throw him into a big state of WTF, I gave reminded him of my ability to find some fucked up, strange, or obscure music. So I gave him the Flogging Molly CD. He listened to about 15 seconds of the first song and then went to the second song and it lasted about as long, and the third song he just turned it up for everyone to hear it. He then turned the speakers on his laptop down, ejected the CD, put it in the case, and threw it back to me. Then again this is the same person who I make leprechaun jokes to and he gets ticked...

But the temporary space taker upper said his art work was better, and showed he a folder with his finished pictures. Then he pulled out a stack of folders that were of projects that they were working on and got bored with and started something else. The guy said he has been to prison, but personally, in prison he perfected his drawing techniques and the stuff was nice. He also learned how to etch mirrors, and work on a lot of stuff(woodwork, to leatherwork and such). I trully believe this fact that not all people who went to prison are necessarily bad, just didn't have luck at that particular moment.

Also, I have been thinking lately a lot about the past people from PCW who I hardly see anymore. One of them was going to the college I am at. But they transferred to a different one because well, the quality of the teachers sucks....badly. But I found his blog and read some stuff on it, and also emailed him because he was at one time in a band. Unfortunately the lead singer/bassist of the group left after they graduated and went to LA. And if ITVR's Shocker were to actually read this he would say this is more proof to why LA is better than the midwest....and then I would put a snow ball into a cooler that had liquid nitrogen going through it to keep it cool, go down to LA, and find him, open the box, and chuck the snow ball at him. :)

It sounds like my cousin plans on sending some MP3 CD's of bands he has this way for me to listen to. I will probably do the same just because of the fact he is doing that. Yep that is right....just what I need more loud angry rock and roll. :)

I need to tell the managers about Feb 12th so that I can go to the PCW show and see Indy wrestling, TNA and CZW superstar Sonjay Dutt in action.

weekend report w/ wrestling results and rant...

This weekend, had some slow as hell work days which weren't too bad and went to PCW wrestling. But first off, Johnny Carson died over the weekend. He was a one of a kind host who did what some people which they could do. 5 nights a week for most of the year would be able to talk to celebrities and other assorted guest. He did it the only way he knew how, and when he ritired, the late night shows quality dropped. I think that some where there is someone who could do his job the same exact way, but when will it happen? Who knows...Johnny RIP with the rest of the stars who you interviewed and passed before you.

And now:

Friday, we had Mary Kay come in for their annual winter party, and as usual for anything that has happened at work...my thoughts were how the mighty have fallen. Last year and the year before they had around 150 to 200 people at their Winter Event. This year, they had about 84 people on Friday for their dinner. And it went so late that we nearly had almost everything finished off and were waiting on them to be done so that we could set for the Saturday. During this period, workers were cleaning up the back area by all the porters supplies. I went and tried to reogranize the dish area. It wasn't pretty but it got done. After everything was said and done we left at about 11 PM I believe.

Saturday, Mary Kay had their lunch which is separated into 2 groups. The ones who did the best sales, and the ones who didn't. And because of their numbers, the two separate lunches were around 30 people each. This meant the porter's scheduled on Saturday get the opportunity to walk across the parking lot across the street in the cold to the Exhibit Hall (aka blue building).
Here we rearrange the area where the tables for that building go, and then started rearranging the area for the chairs when a worker comes in and needs help. There is a pit that is 6 inches deep. They were pushing a stage cart with stage pieces in there. the one of the old boards above the pit gave way. We got the stage cart out of the hold from the broken board, and the Manager said, "We're done in this room".

So at 11:45 we went back to messing around with the room with the chairs. He said to head back over at 1 PM no matter how much we get done. Well, we got done at 12:30 PM, and decided to head back across the street. Still cold and windy. We get back across the street and start cleaning out a room that adjorned, and then took some rounds in there for the meeting they were planning that is scheduled tomorrow I believe. We then set up every room that was adjorning til we had two rooms to go. The first room we were waiting on was one of big ball rooms. Mary Kay was finishing up their meeting and getting ready to adjorn.

We then got started on that at about 4:30 PM. for the most part, we stacked up chairs, and tore down stage and took it across the street. But this time we had a truck! YEAH! Only problem is that the maintence worker took their time getting there. So the assistant manager and the other porter started to takes balloons filled with helium, and inhale the helium. The Banquet Captain and I told them that they would be getting high off of helium and feeling the affects. They didn't believe us...

We get across the street and the banquet captain has to unlock and disarm the alarm for the building. He then goes to the room they weren't planning on using in the building and opens the garage door on that side and the truck gets backed in. We move the stage pieces and lean them against the wall. After that we went back across the steet, and did some more waiting around for the last room to break. The assistant manager started to get a headache and we made fun of her for it. The last room that the captain and us porters had to wait for finally adjorned. We just took the dirty dishes, and food and beverages out and called that room done for now. This was about 6:30 that we finally got out, and the wrestling show was at 7PM. I went home changed clothes and such and then left to go to the show and made it there by 7 PM, but as mentioned at another site, this is Indy wrestling meaning it was going to start a little late. And here's how the show went down.....

PCW wrestling, Jan 22nd, results from here

The show began with “Wiseguy” Wyatt Connors coming to the ring. He announced that Commissioner Alan Richards had a major announcement to make. Richards said that at the next show Feb. 12, NWA-TNA, CZW superstar “The Original Playa From The Himalaya” Sonjay Dutt would be coming to PCW and will receive a PCW Heavyweight title shot against the winner of the Dolan/Moore title match. This caused “The Family” to come to the ring. Mr. Baltezar had a few choice words the Commish for this decision. He then turned his attention to Ricky Sprague and challenged him to face Mr. White in a match. Ricky came out and suggested the match be a 6-man tag match and introduced Casanova and the Chippendale Kid has his partners.

The Family (“The Passion” Zac James, Strife, and Mr. White) vs. Casanova, The Chippendale Kid, and “The Tsunami Kid” Ricky Sprague

Sprague and the Passion started off with a series of headlocks. Sprague’s team had an interesting sequence where Casanova gave CnD a monkey flip out of the corner and CnD landed onto Strife. Casanova then gave a monkey Flip to Sprague also landing onto Strife. Another exciting sequence happened when Zac tried to suplex Ricky, everyone ended up in the mix ending with Spragues team hitting a triple suplex on all 3 members of the family at once. Action could not be contained in the ring and eventually spilled out to the floor. Strife took this opportunity to go airborne and hit a corkscrew onto everyone. Strife was able to hit the Zeal Buster on Casanova, but CnD caught Strife in the Chaos Theory. Ricky then went up top and hit not one, but two Frog Splashes on Strife for the 3 count.

Skeeter vs. Dimitri Kohloff

Neither wrestler got much of an advantage early on. Hillbilly Buck wanted Kohloff’s attention and he got Kohloff to follow him to the outside. Kohloff chased Buck around the ring only to be caught by a flying cross-body by Skeeter. Skeeter went to the top rope again, but this time Kohloff caught him and slammed him off the top rope. Kohloff then gave Skeeter a vicious lariat which sent Skeeter landing right on his head. Kohloff covered Skeeter for the easy 3. Buck tried to attack Koloff after the match, but suffered the same fate as Skeeter.

Jayden Draigo vs. Babyface for the PCW TV title

Babyface got Draigo in an arm wringer, but Draigo quickly turned things around and sent Babyface to take a breather on the outside. Jayden did not let up as he slammed Babyface into several fans feet at ringside. Babyface got the advantage back as he had Draigo in a Torture Rack then dropped him to the mat. Draigo hit a modified version of the Acid Drop, but only got a 2 count. Draigo went for a superkick, but Babyface pulled Mason in to take the blow. Hype Gotti then came from the back and grabbed a steel chair. He acted like he was going to hit Babyface, but hit Draigo instead. Hype then pulled Babyface over Draigo and Mason counted to 3. Babyface is the new TV champ. Hype then got on the mike and said Babyface and himself have settled their differences and have chosen to be Simply The Best once again. JT Wilcox came from the back to try and save Draigo, but it was for naught as he got beat down by Hype & Babyface while they continued to taunt the fans in the temple.

Pain Syndicate vs. Double Jeopardy for the PCW Tag Team titles

Cruz and Max started for their teams. Max overpowered Cruz, but Cruz fought back with a flurry of punches. Max then tagged in Abu and the two dominated Cruz. Cruz was beating on Max in the corner when Abu tried a splash, but Cruz moved out of the way and Abu hit Max instead. Daniels got the hot tag only to end up on the receiving end of a long beatdown. Deidre then got on the apron and Cruz got a hold of her. She then slapped Cruz and pushed him into Max. Max lifted up Cruz for Abu to hit him with a leg clothesline for the 3 count.

Hype Gotti vs. JT Wilcox

Connors didn’t even announce JT as he came running from the back and started hitting Hype. They went to the outside where Hype hit JT with a trash can and to return the favor, JT sent Hype over the guardrail into some female fans at ringside. JT had Hype in a fireman’s carry, but Hype got out of it and hit a Yakuza Kick on JT for a 2 count. Hype was getting pissed, so he went a grabbed a chair. Draigo came from the back and stopped Hype from using the chair. He then grabbed the chair and hit Hype over the head with it. Babyface came from the back, but was met with a Smoke Detector onto the chair. Mason had no choice but to rule the match a no contest. Draigo got on the mike and said if Simply The Best wanted another shot at the J-Crew, they were more than willing to oblige. At the next show Draigo issued a challenge for a No-DQ, tornado tag, street fight.

Christian Moore vs. Big Daddy Dolan for the PCW Heavyweight title

Dolan wanted Moore to shake his hand. Moore refused, so Dolan told Moore to either shake his hand or he would take his shirt off. Moore went to shake his hand, but Dolan psyched out Moore and took his shirt off anyway. Moore wanted a test of strength and when he got it, Dolan put Moore immediately on his knees. Moore then caught Dolan with a couple of dropkicks which sent Dolan to the corner and Moore followed up with a splash. Dolan then splashed Moore in the corner and Moore went down in a heap. Dolan again tried his “one finger, one count” routine, but it did not work, what a surprise. Moore got Dolan in a sleeper hold, but Dolan got out of it by attempting a Dolan Driver, which made Moore release the hold. Dolan tried to go for the Dolan Driver again, but Mr. Baltezar was distracting Mason at ringside so Dolan tried to take care of the problem. Baltezar then threw something to Moore, which he used to punch Dolan, and bust him open. It was enough to put Dolan down for the 3 count.

That is the results from the PCWc Informer. Now my favorite matches of this show were the opening 6 man tag match, and Babyface vs. Jayden Draigo. The opening match had some comedy spots, good technical wrestling, and because a group of fans at PCWc's shows, known as the Disgruntled Fans(DisFans), are friends of Strife and "The Passion" Zac James, they cheared them(even though Balthazar's Family is a group of heels.) And every time Mr. White was tagged in they went right to booing. The best part of the match was when Zac went to suplex Ricky, and then it ended up bring both team trying for the suplex, and Sprague's team getting it. It was neat.

Now, this rant concerns the Main Event, which wasn't bad but points in my mind were deducted because...KAYFABE!

Yes, I am not a wrestler, I used to help out PCWc, So allow the mocking Ric Flair jokes can end right now.

The close to the end of the match, Dolan fought his was to his corner where his hat and robe were. He didn't try to hide the fact that he was trying to get something out of his hat. The Disgruntled Fans and me noticed this. He missed what he was grabbing for the first time and second time, and got it the third time around. Dolan then goes for his Dolan Driver, but Moore breaks loose. Belthazar throws the nucks to more which is expect sence he is Moore's manager. Then jumps onto the ring apron, and distracts the ref. Dolan is facing away from Moore, and CLEARLY BLADES HIMSELF IN THE MATCH, takes the shot to the head, and lands flat on his back!

He didn't try to hide the fact that he was going to get "busted open". Mainly, I understand somethings like the throwing the object just as the ref is being distract do he can't see it. Because that happens on WWE, TNA, and others. BuT not hiding the fact that you are blading yourself, I don't get it.

Other than that it was a good show they busted their asses to give the people an exciting night of wrestling. I just wished that Big Daddy Dolan wouldn't have been lazy and gave that away is all.

End rant.

56k users beware....

This is going to be a short post, but I am looking through some banners I either made for myself or others. These banners were used for signatures at message boards and such. The big thing is that I am just not tired right now, and thinking about taking a break from a chat room I am lurking in too much. Anyway, let's start with my most recent one I am using myself...

Raven: Welcome to the Terrordome

The main reason for this one is I am a fan of Raven, missed out on for the most part his best years in ECW. But watched him on WCW as he lead the flock until its demise. But I for the most part took two pictures they have on TNA's website of him coming out of the entrance. And the quote is from a promo he cut to DDP when DDP came to TNA about a month or 2 ago. Also, I feel this is probably the best banner I made so far.

Julius Jones

I am a Dallas Cowboys fan, and made this. It is a little too cluttered, but it isn't too bad of a banner.

Purple People Eaters

Now don't start thinking I actually give two shits about the Vikings. A Minnesota fan from a message board asked if he could get a sig with the Purple People Eaters in it. I found a few picks made the background the one with them going to either block a punt(most lilely) or a pass. And the other one is a shot of them on the bench probably resting.

I will probably post more when I get the chance to look up more of them that I made.

Why do I feel dumber? plus weekend report

I swear after reading some post from a local indy fed's website forum, I swear that my IQ has dropped and I can feel my brain shriveling up. Certain fans feel it is necessary to be idiots in their post and just post where ever they want even after the admins there warned about being ban could be expected.

Well, the good thing is that Sonja Dutt will be going there on Feb. 12 on what I would probably guess is a farewell tour of saying hi to friends and fellow workers he met on his way to heading to TNA. His contract ran out, and he is now looking to Japan. I am going to try and get that day off of work and go to the show.

and now the weekend report...

Friday, I pretty much didn't do much. I went to work and then came home and went ot bed.

Saturday, samething only worked til about 1:30 and almost hated every minute of it.

Sunday was my lil sisters birthday, and since she is 3 hours away, I sent her a message to her cell phone saying happy birthday. I then went shopping with my mom because she didn't know what to get my nephew other than stuff that has been mentioned by his parents or my older brother who hangs out there whenever he gets bored at home. I seen a person from PCWc and they asked how stuff was going and mentioned Sonja Dutt being at the Feb. 12 show. Still out at the mall and I see a co-worker acknowledged them being there, but that was about it. Went home, nephew and my sister and her husband came over. He liked his presents, had food, and then they left.

Today, Tyson Meat Ed had their weekly function and come to find out people are idiots. I have a cart that has just their liqour on it. This cart for the most part stays in the liqour closet with all the other liqour for the banquets department. The only problem is that people have the tendency to just grab alcohol from there then the go and get a bottle from the upstairs liquor room if we are out. So I had to replenish 3 bottles of liqour that for the most part will cost the department a good $100 to higher amount.

Reason I say that is that we charge them a price that they have been getting charged per bottle since 97 before I started. The 3 combined equal about $100, and with our nice and outrageously high prices, could be around 100 or more each if you look at a cash or host bar if the whole bottle per drink was sold. So either way it is mostly a lose lose situation.

Now I have to tell people that if they need the liqour and it isn't in stock down here, to get a manager or me to go upstairs and get a bottle of whatever alcohol. This will be on this weekend which means I will most likely miss this weekends wrestling show PCWc show.

And for a completely different topic relating wrestling:

Lately, not being able to keep up with wrestling for reasons of 1) work causing me to miss shows, 2) Not getting certain channels during the week to see the show (UPN for Smackdown which only air midnight on Sunday after SNL), and 3) What I do see anymore isn't the greatest.

The WWE doesn't have much competition right now, and when wrestling has no competition it gets very stale very fast. And also, Vince seems to be pulling the ol' ethnic issue or comic book character gimmick for wrestlers to get cheap heat or whatever. This happened badly in the late 80's and mid 90's and amazingly enough during that time period I for the most part lost interest in wrestling.

Also, I was a little more involved in PCWc about 2 or more years ago. From helping with being security, or bell ringer. I was for the most part somewhat accepted backstage. I was with them when they had a 6 month hiatus because they A) couldn't find a place to work and B)needed to reorganize and get everything in order to get shows going more frequently along with actually having enough wrestlers.

And now, I hardly make it to a show every 2 months, and some of the old fans quit caring. And old workers had to leave because of injuries and such. But still, every show that I have been able to make it to, they still say hi and such. And I truelly feel a different presence because some of the others were are still there don't seem to care as much as before.

All, I can say is if you are able to even comprehend half of what I just said I feel for you having to read this. And who knows if things will change with my impatient growing attitude with wrestling.

question.....

I have been thinking about doing a CD review for another blog I am involved with. But I am not sure after thinking about if I should or not.

I am thinking about reviewing Green Day's "American Idiot" and Damageplan's "New Found Power". The only thing is that I am not sure if I will be able to put my complete thoughts into words.

But I was wondering what some of the people who visit this think....Should I or should I not do a CD Review for either of the titles mentioned?

Also Ken, I got a Flogging Molly CD, I am sorry about anything with an accordion in it just freaks me out. It is a good CD, but I am afraid when listening to it that if I look around I will see a leprechaun come out of no where and start dancing.

IT BE SNOWING~!

Well, Christmas in Iowa, I usually expect snow. And there was absolutely and none of it. But it is snowing now, and I think we probably have about 4 inches as a safe guess. So yippie~!

Also, Ken updated his blog with a quiz type deal, and like any other unoriginal blogger...I am stealing his idea, but the difference is I am posting my full first name, and the shortened version. :) Enjoy
