ugh

Between 2pm Wednesday and 2pm Thursday I was at work for 18 of the 24 hours. I was dead when I went home.

Friday, slept went to Travis' to visit, and they just got a 90+ gallon fish tank and some fish, crabs and snails for it. One of the fish ended up dying because of the fact that the person at the pet store put the fish in the same bag as the crab. Put 2 and 2 together and you probably figured out what happened. They decided they needed to get some plants for it, and they needed some other stuff. Now, I know that Travis tends to use some recreational smoke. He had enough stuff for about a week, and his wife talked to someone and got them some money. They were expecting her to call and then show. Well, she called and then I went with her. It comes to be that the person who was sent to get the stuff "disappeared". The person who was waiting for them was trying their best to find out where they went and had people on the look out. Well, after she gathered herself together Travis' wife and I went to get the groceries that they needed and a fish net because they forgot to get one. When we got back to her house I helped take in the groceries and left after she woke Travis up and wanted to talk lone.

Saturday, I went to work at 4PM and helped set up a bar for our only group. They provided their own food, grill to cook the food, and plates and utensils. We just needed to provide them seating and bars and bartenders. So the party started at 6PM and I helped being a bar runner because there was shit to do otherwise. Luckily there was hardly anybody left at 9:30 so I made last call and we cleared out the tables and chairs and got out at about 11pm. I went out had a few drinks and then came home and went to sleep.

Sunday, James has been out of town and I was woke up by the phone. He tried calling Travis' house and comes to find out their number is disconnected. He also mentioned his phone he thought he lost at his house was actually with him across the state. And he left it there. We talked a little more and then he had to go. I didn't do much for the rest of the day other than do ESPN's extremely crappy draft for their fantasy football which was free for the first time. Let's just say ESPN needs to tweak their java app and also they need to be more prepared for getting bitch slapped from all the bandwidth they got hit with. But Snooge MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMOOOOOOONNNNNNkey~! handled it with a cool head for the most part and the draft was almost pain free. Unfortunately another ITVR member it wasn't. As they were drafted 5 kickers. OUCH! That was my weekend.

Have fun, keep cool, and if you are in the Missippi, Alabama,or New Orleans area take cover and care of yourself my thoughts are with you.

interesting day...

Today we had funeral services and buried my uncle here in town. But I am almost wondering how badly alcoholism runs through my family. Because I watched my brother and 3 cousins get trashed. They started drinking at 3PM and then ended at about 7:45 or 8PM. Even the bartender at the bar they were at was trying to get them to eat some pizza or something. But they wouldn't listen. So my cousin and I, who arrived where they were at about 5, ordered a pizza knowing that A) they wouldn't remember about us ordering pizza and B) They would atleast get more than petit samwiches and chips into their system.

Oh well, just another day in iowa.

Not the way I want to make another post.

Well, it has been a while, infact a long time since I updated this.

Friday, find out that they feel that the night crew is letting people screw around too much. This sucks because trying to keep customers happy and keep the crew from messing around is hard. Especially when you are the supervisor for a bunch of 16 to mid 20 year olds. It is the worst on weekends when their minds is just on leaving and going partying. Plus none of the managers want to close doesn't help at all either. "Let's just let the supervisors close and we will work during the days and just bitch at them when they come in." Let's see here I came in on 3PM and let around 1 to 1:30 AM. Fun all around. Also, the Assistant Manager said "let's just keep everybody here to get the reset done faster." What fun. First they want us to cut back on hours and next the assistant says keep people in. That is probably what had the manager all worked up.

Saturday, woke up at 9 because the dog got himself caught in the legs of a chair. I went back to bed with the door opened just incase he got himself caught again. I wake up at noon to find out the parents took him to the vet to be put to sleep while I was asleep. This is the same dog that had a stroke about the same time last year. It was probably for the best but it is sad in just about 4 hours times from when let him out of the chairs to starting to get ready for work. I went in at 3PM, and clock out at 2:20 AM or so before I dropped cash from the banquets bars. The manager was there til about 8 PM. But they had to put up with the reset from hell. They had to change 3 rooms in about an hour and a half. I figured it wouldn't be that bad, but the manager can blow some stuff out of proportion and think the real hard stuff they don't get nervous about until they are there for it.

Sunday, got to sleep at about 4:30 AM because I just couldn't get to sleep. And I slept til 4PM. Heard some updates about my Uncle in WA who wasn't doing too well and my grandparents decided to not come back on Tuesday. Which leads to....

Today, I still have to go to work, but I can't remember what my hours were and right after school went to work to see when I had to be in. Found out that I had to be in at 3PM. So I come home to a message on the phone saying to call my mom at work. And I find out that my uncle died and they don't know if the funeral is going to be in Washington or if it will be back here.

RIP Bill, and my aunt is in my prayers right now.
