Well....

Well, I got Resident Evil: Apocolyse soundtrack and Van Halen "Best of Both Worlds" CDs. And I will say that Roadrunner Records knows their stuff when they are asked to pick the artist, the song, and edit a soundtrack for a movie. I can tell to a degree with the "Vermillion" Slipknot's song on the album where the edits are...The first end is around a minute into the song, and possibly biggest edit in the Mick/James guitar solo but with all the edits the song is just under a minute of the album version. But the thing is that the edits were made well. "Swamped" by Lacuana Coil seems like it was cut 1 second before the finish of the song. But the hardest song to figure out the edits would be "Ened of the Heartache" by KillSwitch Engage. "The Outsider (Resident Renholder Mix)" Of A Perfect Circle's original song is just awesome. It is completely different from the album song, which will probably turn some people off, but it is good otherwise. All in all, songs for soundtracks being either new, mixed, or remixed is expected. Especially when you want to get as much onto the CD as possible. (Yes, I really haven't listened to most of the bands on the soundtrack album, but they were pieced together perfectly from Cold to Cracle of Filth, to Rob Zombie, to Deftones. And the Deftones surprised me, but then again their last album wasn't the greatest to portray their lead singer's abilities.

And Van Halen is just pure awesome. David Lee Roth while in the band might have been a royal asshole reportively, but if it was for him, I don't think that Van Halen would have even made it to the mainstream in the first place. And Sammy Hagar just came and rocked with the band and did a good job selling albums. All in all, it brings back awesome memories with good songs, but I haven't listened to the three new songs on it.
